I wanted to personally invite each and every one of you to attend the first Leadership Thinktank to be held virtually on May 3rd, 2022 at 9:00 am. The Leadership Thinktank will be the Community Investment Grant’s annual event where industry leaders can meet to discuss questions about Relias and some of the most common problems within the direct care and supports the profession. In addition to the discussion, Relias staff will be onsite to train and answer questions about the Relias platform. The Thinktank will last as long as participants would like for all questions and discussions to be addressed.
The main focus of the Leadership Thinktank will be centered around addressing and discussing the current issues in the industry. All attendees are encouraged to participate and contribute to the discussion, as this will be a participant-driven activity. The questions that will be mentioned include:
How can our field build upon the training opportunities we currently offer and raise the bar for indirect support?
- How can we as a system fund high-quality direct support training in the future?
- How can we as a system fund higher direct support wages and tie higher wages to training?
- How can we better professionalize the direct supports profession so that people are willing and able to make this a long-term career option?
What improvements would you like to see to the training opportunities provided through the Relias platform?
